Dear Jeff,
If you watched the game yesterday it seemed that UCLA was always in control. Although Ramon made a couple of threes and Pitt went on mini runs they never were within 6, it was always a two possession game and considering the type of D both teams played a 6 point lead was really more like a 10-12 point lead.
Keep in mind UCLA's bigs were in foul trouble, and Afflalo had an off-shooting night. i think Pitt had a chance but they were clearly intimidated and missed a lot of easy shots- and it also was compounded by the Bruins great free throw shooting last night.
Overall though the Bruins usually a poor free throw shooting team made free-throws (i think it showed intensity and concentration) and the Bruins won yesterday because they wanted to win more badly and i think their experience also helped as they never seemed pannicked or rattled.
Clearly the more experienced, the more hungry, and more talented team won yesterday.
Also on a side note- i think Howland outcoached Dixon. Dixon should have went to Ramon earlier, and should have tried to run the offense more through Sam Young and Mike Cook who made some consecutive baskets at some point-- being they were struggling offensively you ride the hot hand.
Ben Howland inserted Michael Roll late in the game and he made a jumper from the wing with 58 seconds left (this is a true freshmen who had only made a 3 pointer at that point in the game). All the focus was on Collison, Shipp, and Afflalo, and Howland went to the freshmen and he knocked it down. Great coaching move!
Kindly,
Nickster

I got UCLA winnin' the championship, Pitt just doesn't match up well with them, Fields isn't as good as afflalo, gray isn't as good as Mbah moute and mata and UCLA has a great point guard darren collison, so UCLA certainly did deserve to win that one

I think so because picked UCLA to make to Final Four not just the Elite Eight, the Final Four, Kansas is the Next to lose to the BRUINS.
