I miscarried in October and don't want to let anyone know until I am about 12 weeks. But I have a REALLY bulging belly already and I barely fit my jeans. Why am I so big, so early? I'm eating the same, not a lot....

You may be carrying more than one baby. I would speak to your obgyn about an ultrasound or a heart beat test to see if she or he hears more than your heart beat and the baby.

I was in the same boat... We didn't tell anyone until we were 14 weeks becuase we wanted to enjoy the early months and not be stressing over questions from everyone. I started to show and it was pretty much a loss... but I just told everyone that I was just putting on weight or I told them I was having some medical issues that I didn't want to discuss. Let me tell you... after the 4th person I told that to, no one asked me until much much later when we "came out"! then they were like... " I knew you were pregnant!" Its quite funny. Is this your first baby? Are you small framed ie weigh 110 or less? If you are, its really hard to "hide" whats going on.... Plus you don't have alot of "room" to hide any little bump that you have. Correct your posture. Stand up against a wall then take 5 steps forward. That will help if you are slouching... slouching causes your belly to poke out and look really big. Make sure you are eating plenty... you are burning more calories now. Stay with fresh veggies and fruit... will help you maintain a good weight and be best for baby. Have you been to your OB yet? If so they should have scheduled and ultrasound to make sure how many babies are there. If not, call them and have them set you up an appt. Plus they need one anyways to make the correct date of how many weeks along you are. Whatever you do, don't stress. If you don't want to tell anyone you are pregnant, then don't. Tell them everything is fine and you are in perfect health. Hope this helps.. And congrats to you and yours!

It is strange that at only four weeks, your belly is so big. It might just be because you are thin (?) or could you be farther along than four weeks? Usually a female won't start showing until she is around three months but every pregnancy for every female is different. If you are really concerned then schedule a check up at your doctor's office. There really is no need to tell anyone about your pregnancy until you are ready to. Good luck!

Maybe you're having twins! Just kidding...you never know though. When I was pregnant with my son I gained a lot of water weight at first. Then I lost it. I was retaining water because I wasn't drinking enough water and I was eating salty foods. Try cutting back on the salt and drinking more water. As for your co-workers, don't tell them until you feel ready! Congrats on your pregnancy!

I don't know the answer to your question, but have a question for you. When did it come back positive? I took one and it said that I was not pregnant, but my body is telling me something else. I should have come on around the second week of this month, do you think is it to soon?

thanks

PS : Some people get big fast, as long as the baby is okay that's all that matters, what was your size before?

If you feel like you need to lie. You don't have to tell them what's going on if you aren't comfortable doing so. Tell them your thyroid is off or something...that can cause rapid weight gain and that your doctor is monitoring you for it (that will explain the prenatal visits).

I don't know why your tummy is coming out already but it could be from bloating. My tummy started coming out by 8 weeks I already had maternity pants.

Maybe it's your glow or the sparkle in your eyes!! Don't take it the wrong ay from your co-workers.

Your body is just reacting differently to the pregnancy this time. I'd enjoy it while it lasts, while you are pregnant you should not have to worry about being thin...just about the baby's health.

Congratulations!!!

its probably just the way your body is reacting to the pregnancy. also, if you were on fertility drugs, you might be carrying multiples. or, you could be further along than you originally thought. you might wanna talk to your OBGYN

good luck and congrats!
