What would you have done differently? I'm 21 and feel like I'm really coming into adulthood for the first time, but I know everyone on here has a wealth of advice and suggestions! Feel free to go anywhere with this one.

set up a good retirement plan time goes by very fast .choose your friend very carefully, maintain good credit, credit reports are being used as your profile now.don't get in trouble with the law.it will come to bite you in the *** later on if you can afford to buy a house do it now. This was a very interesting Q. for a change. Nice to hear you're looking forward to a brighter future. GOOD LUCK in your journey.

I agree with most everyone. Pay cash for everything or save until you can afford it. GO TO COLLEGE!!! Yes I'm yelling if you don't already attend. It is so hard to find a good paying job without a degree of some sort. So you will end up being stuck with a job you hate more than likely. Open a savings account and don't touch it unless it is a major emergency. Spend more time with your family because in the long run they will always be there for you. Get over fear of trying new things while your young like parachuting out of an airplane and do these while your young because when your old you fear having a heart attack. Just an example. Don't waste your time with a partner or friend that isn't worthy. Life is to short. Their may be somethings you had as a kid that you think is stupid to hold onto like toys and what not. Don't throw them out one day they can be passed down to your kids or be worth a fortune. If you have a hobby that you enjoy keep it don't let anything get in your way of having something you enjoy doing. Where all things are concerned listen to your head first then your heart. Don't put yourself in harms way by spending time with bad influences. No one night stands. Only serious committed relationships.Use protection if having sex. These are just a few. When I was your age I almost went to jail because of a friend. I avoided responsibility and wanted to party all the time and got kicked out of my first apartment. I had several one night stands. I think it was new but still I didn't use protection many times. I'm glad I didn't get pregnant or get an STD. I didn't go to college and am regretting that now because I do hate my job. But I fell easily for different guys and spent my life revolving my decisions on them. And I think now of all the time I wasted and the time I missed with my family. Good luck in life.

Live !!!!!! Live as an adult, explore the adult world. I was married with a kid at 21 , I don't feel like I missed out on anything , but at 40 I have not lived much of the life style as many of the people I know, so my experiences or ability to relate often fall short. Hope that makes some kind of awkward sense.

If I knew at 21 what I know now,I would have appreciated my parents more than I did.Not that there were too many difficulties but they're both gone now and I miss them terribly though it's been yrs.I just wish I had cherished every single moment I had with them
As for the rest......I wouldn't change one thing.
Worked hard, got married, had 3 children and now have 5 grandkids to enjoy and I'm retired.
Life is good but I worked hard at every aspect of it and truly appreciate what life gave to me.
I thank God every night for all my many blessings.I hope one day you will feel the same.
God Bless.

I laugh now when I think of all the little thing that used to stress me so much. I would be more confident and enjoy each moment. I would also do the things I want instead of thinking how much I would like to do them, whether it's calling someone, learning to play an instrument or visiting Peru. Enjoy and feel good about myself at all time's. Work to be the person you want to be, it should be a fun job. Good like..and have a good adulthood!!

I would invest in a retirement account. Any amount of money of invested on a regular basis is better than nothing. As little as $50 a month will add up to huge money in 20-30 years.

Live as if today was your last day on earth. Experience everything you've ever wanted to experience before you get to the point of wanting to settle down. Don't take things too seriously. Enjoy time with your friends new and old. Try to reconnect with ppl you haven't talked to in years. Spend time with your loved ones. Get drunk and have a wild night (but still be smart about it). Fall in love, fall out of love. Have no regrets. Remember that you only live once.

I would spend more time with my family and friends, instead of just spending alot of time locked up in my room alone. I would try to not let my siblings annoy me so much. Also, I would not get credit cards. Spend money more wisely and have a budget. I would not slack off at college like I did.

I would have waited until I was 30 to have kids
I would have finished college
I would not have started indulging in alcohol
I would have moved to somewhere a lot warmer
I would have faith in myself and not listened to people my own age about important things like all of the above.
