Lactational Amenorrhea Method (LAM, the method of using breastfeeding for birth control) requires that you breastfeed your baby more often than that, among other requirements. The farther you depart from the requirements, the more likely you are to get pregnant. I put a link at the bottom for you about LAM. If your baby is over 6 months old, getting solids, and breastfeeding only at night, then breastfeeding probably won't affect your fertility very much and you will probably be able to get pregnant without much trouble (I did!). Don't forget that you don't have to actually get your period to be ovulating and able to conceive. Good luck!

I was breastfeeding full time AND using birth control and was pregnant when my son was 4 months old. I did continue to breastfeed although I had to follow a diet plan to get all the proper nutrition for all 3 of us

If you are still breastfeeding, you may want to consider waiting a full year after giving birth to get pregnant. It's unsafe to deplete your body of it's nutrients by getting pregnant so fast.
But to answer your question, breastfeeding at night is not enough to keep you from ovulating.

You can get pregnant breastfeeding or not..when it comes to pregnancy anything is possible...

Just remember it literally takes 7 years for your body to fully record from one pregnancy so you really should allow time inbetween for the health of the baby
