Yes, it affects your health dramatically.
I definitely don't want someone elsees habit killing me or my children, family etc.
Second hand smoke does more damage than the cigarette does to the smoker.
It's a habit, a little stick that kills thousands to probably millions of people a year and an expensive habit at that.
When I was 5 cigarettes were around A dollar something a pack now they're up to three dollars.

Depends... As a smoker I can tell you that it is a pain to smoke just about anywhere in California. I will say this, indoors... ban it. The last thing that I want when I eat is some idiot blowing smoke at my meal. Outdoors, I can't even smoke at the beach. There needs to be a set of well thought out rules (notice the thought out) for where smoking is allowed, but there should also be reasonable accomodation for smokers. I respect a persons right to do what they want (smoke or not), please extend me the same courtesy... I promise not to blow smoke at you. Should it be banned from public places??? My answer is simple... Not at all of them.

Yes, smoking should be banned in public areas. There are many people with children who they do not want to be around smoke. Most non-smokers do not like to eat in a smoke filled room. There are asthmatics that their asthma is triggered by cigarette smoke. I think that there should be designated smoke area, where you can only smoke in those areas and no where else except your home.

If you mean public areas such as restaurants, then yes. If you mean public areas such as parks, outside mall entrances, etc., no! All these anti-smoking nut jobs who swear up and down that they're going to get lung cancer from walking past someone who's smoking into the women's department at Macy's are full of sh!t. Walking past a smoker once a week or so as you're entering a store won't cause cancer you freaks. The big dump truck and cement mixer who're working on your neighbor's kitchen renovation and belching out noxious fumes...THEY my friend...THEY will cause cancer. Oil refineries, charcoal grills, factories--those things cause cancer. Want to get rid of them too?

Just another, control the public issue. It's all about picking one more thing to gain control.
There should be designated areas. People who don't smoke can stay away from that area.

I have no problem with anyone sucking in tobacco smoke. My beef is that they blow it back out again when I'm breathing in, We all know the consequences! There should be special smoking rooms without windows for this sort of person!, behind thirty foot walls.lol

I don't understand why they can't get up and smoke outside, its not like they have anything to do while thier waiting for their food anyway!

Yes. Believe it or not, second-hand smoke is worst for you than... first hand smoke.
The person who is smoking has a filter that blocks off most of the dangerous chemicals, but the people around him/her, who have to breath in the smoke coming off the tip of the cigarette, have to breath in every toxic substance in the cigarette.

Yes. Smokers do not have the right to poison other people just because they feel like lighting up. They should do it on their own property away from others so that it will be unlikely for it to affect anyone who doesn't choose to be around it.

yes. it makes second hand smoke. people with asthma should not have to suffer when people are just medicating their addicted bodies. when i go out in public and somebody is smoking by the entrance of a store it takes my breath away because of the smoke. i sometimes have an asthma attack.
