I have only read C.S. Lewis's fiction and it was written with many allegories and allusions, but supremely written so even a child can create an imaginative world, but an adult can read a deeper understanding into the literary words.
However, I have never heard of Chesteron or Williams. But I may read up on them and see what I can read by them now.

I love them all, but Lewis is my favorite.
Chesterton gave a voice to common sense, and common sense has never spoken with such wit and humor. He's irreverent...but right. My favorite Chesterton quote:
"When learned men begin to use their reason, then I generally discover that they haven't got any."
C.S. Lewis gives excellent and understandable analogies to illustrate deep truths. A very accessible writer. His fiction is fabulous, too.

I love Chesterton. Have u read his "A Piece of Chalk" essay? It's online; just google it. Afterwards having read the essay, you can probably respond to my question: what does he mean in the end that it's a piece of chalk? Purposefully vague b/c I don't want to spoil the essay's ending :)
I wouldn't say that GK's conclusions are crazy; you just have to be in a good enough mood to receive them. They are funny, and simultaneously carry a profound meaning to them.
Idk about C.S. Lewis, or Williams, b/c I have only heard of them.

I think Lewis is a great writer, but he makes dubious arguments. Chesterton's arguments are just crazy. Never heard of Williams.
