If I am reading the details right, my computer memory is pc 2700 512 mb 133 MHZ.
I wish to add another 512 mb memory but all that I can find is 333 MHZ and I'm wondering if this will work?

crucial.com says that I have DDR PC2700 so that makes things good.
Everest says that I have SDRAM so go figure!
thank you for the info.

Are you sure the memory you have installed says "PC2700" on it. Cause it if lists it as 133Mhz, it is most likely SDRAM and not compatible with DDR 333mhz memory.

Your best bet would be to take the stick of memory you have installed currently and bring it down to your local computer shop. They will be able to tell you exactly what you need.

If your computer is a Name-brand like HP, Compaq, Sony etc. You can go to http://www.crucial.com and find out what kind you need.

Probably, but the RAM will only be as fast as your system can recognize.

Suggestion: visit an online RAM seller such as crucial.com and have the site scan your system. Among other things, the scan will tell you what RAM sticks they sell that will work on your machine. Good luck!
