why are we so afraid of litlle kim jong 2 of n, korea? why can't we just go there and confront him. he doesn't seem to have much power? idon't understand.

kim jong ill is a threat because he has ahuge military base and he is crazy and has nuclear weapons which he could use.he is a very unstable person and demands respect.never underestimate your enemy.he has much power and that is how he keeps his own people so oppressed he has starved possibly millions of his own people over the years they live in extreme poverty and awful conditions while their leader lives in the lap of luxury.and he is also friendly with other nations such as iran and russia.it would be wise to watch him very closely.

The idiot is a loose cannon and his government is backed up by the Chinese government. The U.S. sent MacArthur there and it was called the Korean war? Do you know of your history?
It was a political mess for MacArthur...if the president had left him alone to do his job back in the fifties then he would have ended the conflict despite the Chinese interference he had to put up with.
The General was fired the war came to a standstill, a truce was called and has lasted this long because no real idiots were in power. Just a division of North & South Korea.
To confront the loose cannon now would be suicide. You don't have any more MacArthur's to fight the loose cannons in power.
Frig.....look what's happening in Iraq for crying out loud. Ain't nobody getting anything done there. No Generals strong enough to do the job anymore.
