The best, I got to spend an entire day with my best friend since childhood who was back on leave from the war in Iraq, and I get to see her again tomorrow before she returns. The worst, she is returning to Iraq until August.

The worst thing was finding out that a friend of mine had been stabbed in a local pub, trying to defend the landlady who had also been stabbed.
The best thing was finding out that they are both ok.
I really don't know what brought it about, probably alcohol. The boy was only 23 and had been refused a drink at 6.30pm because he had been drinking all day. Are these new licensing laws a good idea?
Don't know about you, but everyone I've dealt with this week has been in a bad mood, I've had lots of irate customers!

The best thing is that I got all my seedlings that I started indoors weeks ago planted in my yard and garden. The weather is wonderful and warm, with a cool wind, and a bright blue South Carolina sky. The nights are cool, and I can leave my windows up to catch the breezes whispering through my windchimes.
The worst thing is that I'm tired and sore.. small price to pay, I think! :)

Hi!
The best thing this week was the look on my youngest's face when we presented him with a new Playstation 3 just after tea!
He is just setting it up now, and is beside himself with joy!
The worst thing was it was so cold on Wednesday morning, my car wouldn't start. However, this wasn't too bad, coz it was a lovely day and I had to walk everywhere, which was quite nice!

Best this week - got back safely from a trip to New Orleans and Destin, Fl., and won $500 on a scratch off lottery ticket today. And, it is raining - so that gives me an excuse not to do yard work today. So far, nothing bad has happened.

The best thing happened today, and that is that it is my last day of teaching for a two week spring break.
The worst thing was that the battery on my car died, so I had to walk to work and deal with jumping my car after work....

The best thing was getting to spend some time with my married son on Monday. The worst thing was finding out, today, that he needs to go in for lymph node tests.
He was off on Monday only for a tonsil infection--now I am extremely worried.

The best thing: getting my income tax refund
The worst thing: not knowing it was in the bank before I borrowed money to pay an outstanding bill.
Being able to repay the loan.... priceless
