Hip Hop is NOT dead...yes, some of it has morphed into MTV crap, but there is a lot of hip hop out there keepin it real.
I was at a roots show the other night...sold out of course and they asked that same question to the audience...HELL NO was the answer, the roots rocked it...there are a lot of other hip hop/rap/soul/r&b artists that don't get sucked into the chain wearing,gold grill hype.

Unfortunately, all of the creativity is gone. Rappers like Public Enemy and Run DMC were original and incredibly creative. Now its all about "I have this much money, I drive this big Escalade/Bentley and I have this many hos". Blah blah blah. The same stuff repeated over and over, slickly produced. People just got sick of it.

well i no rap and hip hop r the popular music right now (split about 50 50 with emo) to people that cant think, but good music is rock and metal
