I have an old swiffer wet jet, it came in a green box and i got it about 2 years ago, recently they have introduced a new one in a purple box. the problem is, the swiffer pads are fastened by velcro, the old one (the one i have) has one strip of velcro in the middle, the new one, has velcro strips on the top and bottom, making it impossible to use the new pads with the old swiffer wet jet. has anyone had this problem? what do i do? mine works fine so i dont want to pay 20 for a new one!

I was just at Wal-Mart yesterday. They still sell the old pads and the solution. I would keep buying the old pads until they quit making them.

I'm afraid you might have to. Companies do this all the time, they change the product just enough so that you have to go out and buy a brand new product. Even when your old is just the same ( in your case with the Velcro ). I guess you'll have to go to the store and get the latest version. But look on the bright side, you'll be helping the economy.

just to no the swiffer pads you use has antifreeze in them so if you have pets this will hurt them or even kill them
