I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix, and the drivers side windshield wiper dosn't go up, but when you manually put it up, the wiper tries to do a 360 around the windshield, the motor still works, and I don't know what kind of linkage it uses, or if its and independent system, I need help, it gonna rain all weekend!!

You need a new wiper transmission, located under the plastic mesh below the windshield.
You may find a good used part.

Good Luck

There is a nut that holds the wiper assembly to the linkage. Take the car to any local car parts place like AutoZone and any of the folks there can take a look at it for you for free. It very possibly is just a loose and not broken part.
