I think happiness is overrated these days. I think happiness is something that happens in moments, but is not a perpetual state of being.
I don't think that any intelligent person can be happy all the time. Even if your life is going great, there is still so much suffering and brutality in the world, that anyone who is not completely self centered, can't help but feel the sorrow of it.

I think we have made perpetual happiness a goal, and it is unachievable, and actually causes more unhappiness when it can't be reached.

Life is like the weather, without the rain, there would be no flowers.

Happiness means a variety of different things. It means being able to wake up, the first thing I see is the face of the one I love. It means being able to feel emotions again, for once I never could. I'd like to be happy and I try to be happy but I tend to care more about other ppl than myself. It seems like I live my day trying to keep my family happy. Happiness is important, without it you feel like sh*t, so that's why I try to keep my family happy 24/7.

A feeling of elation. I know of people who would say "Vibrational Harmony" because they believe that there is only a stream of wellbeing that flows. In a way, I believe that as well.
