Why do you need a Christian value to go to war? Why bring the name of Christianity into this arena... all you're doing is further dragging Christianity through mud. People already use the Crusades as an instance of hippocracy and injustice so that they can justify ignoring Christianity to themselves. The truth is, if we all tried to follow Jesus Christ's example, there would be no war. We would gracefully and respectfully deal with disagreements and other sorts of things which bring about war. Stop trying to justify war at the expense of Jesus Christ.

It's not based on any "Christian values." It's based on survival!! Our enemies don't want peace, so war IS the answer!!

It isn't supported anywhere in the bible.
One might use "an eye for an eye" but Iraq has nothing to do with an eye for an eye.
I would support an eye for an eye if we tracked down Bin Laden. But it seems he is no longer important. Securing Iraq is. we made a huge blunder by re-electing GWB. And we might make another blunder if we elect a GWB supporter.

I don't think that this is a war about Christianity. In fact, most people go out of their way to draw a distinction between religioius conflict and the political one that we are involved in. This isn't The Crusades, and the justification need not be (and, indeed should not be) religious in nature.

Actually, we like to hearken back to the Old Testament teachings we share with the muslims and jews to justify our warmongering. You won't find a warm fuzzy for this kind of killing in Christ's teachings.

Because the Bible recognizes many instances where the wicked should be punished, and where it is valid to pursue war if the ultimate goal is to defeat a hated enemy.
So, it's not inconsistent with the Bible.

Does anyone really accept the false belief in Christianity or other religion? How many millions of humans have died, lives taken from them under gods name?

I think the concept of Christian Warriors goes back to knightly duties to serve God and King, to provide for widows and orphans and to protect the weak against the powerful.
There are times when protecting the weak involves taking up arms against those who threaten them.
