Literally no different from male employees.
Document the expectations of your employees. Meet with them so that they understand them and be sure they have a copy of the policies.
Ensure you have a mechanism to penalize employees for missing the mark (e.g. performance warning). Make sure that they understand you must run your business like a business in order for them to remain employed.
Finally, CASH is king. Reward your best performers with the best compensation.
The slackers will get the message. Or, get rid of them and hire people that take their work seriously.

What you need to do is set healthy boundaries that are also fair. If you respect others they will appreciate being treated fairly and equitably and thus return that respect with a healthy dose of loyalty. Have a staff meeting and outline your expectations give staff time for questions and to input what they feel would help to make the business more successful. Then you can reiterate what the rules are and how you know that they can help make the business flourish so all will do well.

Treat them the same as you would anyone else. Do not show any differences between women or men or between two women. MAKE SURE. You are the boss, learn to explain to them that they must show up on time, etc. Have a meeting and bring up your points as a matter-of-fact and don't sound as if you are disciplining. When your rules are broken, and there is not a good reason, then you need to talk individual with the person and take action. Good luck

Hey they know the rules, and being professional has no sex; if they want respect they must do their job and comply to the rules.
Be sensitive and respectful, but don't be naive; if they see you as week they'll try to take advantage. Do everything by the book and be careful, many guys are pigs but many girl are gold-diggers too and can falsely accuse you of sexual harassment or something worst so don't trust too much; as you said, you are trying to run a business.

Women use sex over men all the time as an advantage, don't let it happen to you. Stand firm and don't budge from the standards you set, you are the boss. There are always exceptions in extreme circumstances but there is a huge difference between being sympathetic and a doormat.

rules are there to be complied upon and be followed. since you are running a business, you have to deal with them professionally. talk to them and give them a warning thru memos. they are paid to work and be respectful to their boss and should have a consideration for the company's well being. i respect you already as a person. you will gain respect by setting a good example and be firm in making decisions. good luck!

At work give the same respect to a female employee as you would to a male employee. Not more, not less. Work is work. You should not think about who is male and who is female.
This way you will not only get respect from your female employees, but also from your male employees.

Note when the problem is exaggerated and when it isn't. Treat them as employees, not as 'young, attractive female' employees. Stop trying to be their friend and be their boss. Stop trying to get them to like you and instead just make sure they're doing their jobs like any other employee.

I don't think that they are late, etc because they are female. I think they are just bad employees or they are trying to take advantage of you. If they do something wrong, tell them, don't chalk it up to the fact that they are women.

Please do not look at your self as whom you are, We are all God's Children. You are open and very honest, I give you so much credit on this.
"YOU" are the boss, get your self feeling in control, let them know you will not tolerate any foolishness from the beginning and stick to it.
Have your rule's and regulation's handy for them to sign when first employed.
Hold tight to your control, be-wise to there little tricks.
