Why is it the big government folks can't pass up an opportunity to spend more money on more government run programs? Looks to me like they are taking a "golden" opportunity to increase government spending on the heals of an issue that will be able to conceal their actions. If they want more spending, then let them come forward without cover and ask for it on the front page of the daily news!!!!!!!!!

"Approval of it means we vote to abandon Iraq at an arbitrary time no matter the situation, said Republican Rep. Ted Poe . It's also "loaded with squealing pork that has nothing to do with our troops or the war," added Poe, R-Texas, referring to the billions of dollars added to the bill to fund domestic programs and attract votes.

Lawrence...I was not asking about Bush or the stance on the war. I just find it really disturbing that some are using the bill on the war to increase spending. What is going to happen, if this comes full circle, is...the war will end, but all the money that was being spent, will go for some other bloated government program that was tacked onto the war bill. The people (that includes you) will be taken advantage of by big government who thinks that they have a right to spend your money as they see fit. They are hiding their inflated spending ambitions behind the war issue. That is the focus of the question.

We are spending too much money on a mission that is never gonna be won. Bush wants all these extra troops and he keeps saying we will win the war on terror when in sense that would take a global effort not just iraq. This is crazy bush is a War Monger he gets off on the feeling of war. Thank god he doesn't have another term. We need a winner like Hillary Clinton.
