other than fighting a war of so called "terrorism" in Iraq of his own making...which Conservatives think is actually protecting them (ha)...there really isn't much...the stock market and industry in general has improved only slightly (and he cannot claim much responsibility one way or another for that)...he hasn't protected the environment, he created an immense budget crisis (along with his Republican Congresses), he didn't fix social security...a city was destroyed and there is no great fix by him......but I think he will be remembered like Johnson......he is a war president and the war to many was un-necessary....Ford was always considered a clumsy oaf and it really was unfair, but it stuck....I think he will be remembered mostly as a not so bright guy, who got into the presidency because of his father's political machine and not for his own merits...he will be an example of why a man must have a political history of his own to be president..

No, his legacy will be that English will be adopted as the country's official language. When the President of the United States can't even speak it himself, the citizenry will demand that something be done.

Definitely as the worst president in American history (but better than perhaps Nixon). Look at his approval rating, that says the whole story.
