Bush is right. And not only does it give them a place to broaden their activities it also shows them that if they wait long enought we will give up then how long will it be before we are attacked on our own soil again? We need to show them that we won before we leave or they will see it as a weakness and it will be a matter of time before we are attacked here.

The United States is seen by the Arab world as being a occupying force trying to shove democracy down the throats of the people in the middle East. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid want to pull back over the horizon in an effort to defuse anti-American sentiment in that country. Violence will continue as long as American troops are in Iraq cities. The people of Iraq have to step up and negotiate amongst themselves to quell the violence and not be mandated by the United States.

We won't know for several more years.

The Iraq civil/sectarian will take years to resolve, whether we stay there or not. And it won't be until it's over, and we see who wins, that we'll be able to make that determination.

But our being there isn't going to change the outcome. Not if we actually respect the concept of democracy. If we respect democracy, and the majority of Iraqis want an Anti-American government, then we need to allow them to do that.

Otherwise, we're not there for democracy. We're only there to install a government we approve, and that's imperialism.

With or without the troops there.

But of course! The libs believe they'll just go away after we leave but to the contrary they will begin planning the take over of the country to over throw the gov't and gain control.

First by driving the economy into shambles so poverty and despair is rampant.

Then by proclaiming themselves the savior.

Finally by recruiting the poor to their Jihad against us by telling them we're the reason for their poverty and despair.

The next place the attack will be HERE!!!

This is the way they work. Just look at Lebanon.

The LEFT is right! By this action, it will be the Iraqis responsibilities whether to keep fighting amongst themselves or unite as Iraqis to keep their country from being taken over by none Iraqis.

if you take out the totalitarian regime and begin to build it up from scratch using the previously oppressed, THEN pull out your support before they get a chance to get comfortable, then it will be easier for the bad guys to wrest control. Unfortunately, we need to stay there to give things a fighting chance to take root.

Time will tell since it seems pretty clear that we won't have troops there much past January 2008, if that long.
