Can anyone give me some insight on what East Bay College in Cali is really like. My daughter is wanting to attend there and I am curious as to what beyond the brouchure what it is really like. I want the best experience both educationally and yes even socially for her college years.

Do you mean California State University of the East Bay, formerly known as Hayward? Their homepage has most of the information http://www.csueastbay.edu/

In CA, there are two tiers of state universities. The upper tier is the University of California system (Berkeley, UCLA, and so forth). The second tier is the Cal State system. CSU-East Bay is part of this system. CSU schools all offer a highly respectable education. They are less selective than UC schools, but they are considerably cheaper (if your daughter is a CA resident).

Socially, CSU-East Bay isn't much to speak of. It's a commuter school, for most part. Hayward is a suburb of Oakland. Still, she can always get on BART and ride up to Oakland, Berkeley or San Francisco for some fun.
