Brainstorming is great and can lead to the awesome and profound, but if you don't have a good solution, it doesn't matter whether or not it is original. For example, Houston public transportation is probably the worst in the world, which includes the very new light rail. Had the city planners a creative vision to plan farther in advance and checked what international cities were doing first, and found out who designed the best systems, they could have done as well if not comparatively improved on other systems.

I agree that there are differences. Ea individual is different from everyone else, but I'd say being that distinctive from the herd isn't as great as society paints it-- when you're that different perspective-, etc, wise, you can't always relate to anyone else around you, so it can be very alienating & lonely. The tortured artist's life may be admirable especially because of what that artist can produce, but it's by no means any fun for that artist!

I think it's overrated. I, for one, would rather drop dead than be normal.

Originality does not mean normal.
Normal is boring, I agree; but being an original sets you apart from the status quo.

Taylor, you are absolutely on the right track. Normal in today's world = coward, fool, clone, and "worse"? You may be an "indigo/crystal" young person. See http://www.worldofsouls.com for, perhaps, some helpful info.and familiar "friends" Good luck!!
