KG isn't considered for MVP because of the team that is around him. They're underachieving. They have no chance of being a caliber team the way they were three seasons ago. Back in the 2003-04 season, the T-Wolves had their best chance to win it all, but they had to blow it to the L.A. Lakers! Garnett was considered MVP that year because of the stats he was piling up and the team that overachieved expectations that year. That one season was KG's chance, but he didn't blow it, his team did. When he got on, he performed every night. His team had to follow and sometimes they couldn't and sometimes they could. In order to be considered for MVP, you have to be a great player on a great team. KG is a great player because he brings it every night, but he is not MVP because he's a great player on an underachieving team.

Well, if Kobe didn't get it last year for being scoring leader and taking his team to the playoffs, then Garnett won't get it till he's team makes it to the playoffs and he averages at least 28 points with his remarkable rebounding average. I say he's mos def one of the best in the game now, better then D Wade and King James. Not as good as Nash, Derk or Kobe! But he is my second fav. player after Kobe in the league now!!!

what has his team done if you look at past mvp's like nash look where he took his team to the western finals...i think that redd from the bucks should win it granted they have done nothing this year but when he was injured they won 3 of 20 games if that is not mvp of the team then i dont know what is....Dirk will most likely win because of the monster season they are having out in dallas

His team is underachieving and though his stats are unreal as they always are that is a function of being the only good player on an otherwise lousy team. How your team is doing matters in MVP voting.

Hes not the big ticket he was years ago. the timberwolves cant even win games and dominate like they used to. And i always saw him coming after tim duncan every season. no doubt the mvp this season will either be dirk novinski or steve nash

his team is underachieving and will miss the playoffs.

Look at Dirk and Steve, all season they have been putting up MVP numbers, and leading their teams to wins.

Kobe has been putting up great numbers all season but his team is not as consistent.

Lebron James has been putting up great numbers as of late, and his team is winning, but it was only the second half where he started to put up MVP like numbers.

properly if stats is the way you learn greats....Oscar Robertson averaged a triple double (i think of as a element look after) If this is the common of greatness than you recognize what number PG would not be seen super if this is the way you degree who's super. KG is up there as super, by way of fact he has the stats and now has the hoop.

I dont really know with the season he is been having. Maybe his team is just not good enough or because he does not score like Kobe or Melo.

His team sucks. He needs a trade or about four good teammates there in Minnesota.

Because he isn't MVP quality.
