Classified documents are declassified on a case-by-case basis. Journalists (and others) may request that information is released to them, and the goverment usually will declassify the information unless it is judged to be a risk to national security concerns.

Most of the relevant JFK info has already been declassified, and that which hasn't been has been presented to congressional investigators. There are no known major gaps in the information that we have about the JFK assasination. There are, however, plenty of conspiracy-theorists who make their living by claiming that there are.

Until the guilty parties involved are dead and gone. That way, they will not have to do time, and not have to suffer the ridicule of millions, once they have been identified. Must be nice to have that kind of power.
