A democrat congresswoman just mentioned how she met a 6 year old, whose father served 3 tours in Iraq. It dawned on her that the father had missed half of her life.
----
Is the above scenario the type of reasons the democrats use when determining the how to use of our military for the safety of our nation?

Why do democrats confuse the happiness of a minute with the safety and well being of our nation for decades?

I have to apologize that the Congresswomen didn't make something clear. Granted, they look at the affects it has on individuals, but thats not the basis of their belief in ending the war.

That really is only a small reason to end the war, the larger reason is the mis-management and the absolute chaos that has erupted due to it. The problem is that the war was not managed well and now their efforts are being squandered. (troops). We are in a war that is lost due in part of the lack-luster performance of elected individuals, stubborness and politicking.

Simply put, get our troops out now instead of trying to revive a war that has been dead for years.

Did you watch ALL of the hearings today? Or did you just cherry pick.

If you watched it all, you know that what you mentioned was in support of letting the soldiers have more time at home before being sent back to Iraq. Did you know that the standard is 3 MONTHS in the field and 9 MONTHS home?

Of course you don't. And, you didn't watch the hearings either.

Because of NAFTA, my dad had to work in Mexico for 3 years. Should I be mad at Clinton for signing NAFTA? Or should I be mad at Mexico? Or did this happen as a result of my father's choice to seek employment? I wonder....

At some point this girl's father signed up for the military, it's not the government's fault he missed 3 years of his daughter's life.

So, just because that alone would not be a valid reason means that we should ignore it entirely?

There is no proof -- none, zero -- that our presence in Iraq will have any long-term benefit to the US. Even our own military leaders admit that we're not accomplishing anything there.

Because it is all about emotion and feelings. This fact is why these fools cannot effectively lead. The only thing they are leading right now is their sheep party to the slaughter.

The Democrats do not think; they feel. Unfortunately feelings are not always the best measure for good action.
