whenever i try to put files on my sd card, it tells me that my disk is write protected. how do i disavle the protection?

There should be a little switch on the side of your card that says "lock" beside it (or something of that nature)
Slide the switch and you're good to go! :)

Check whether the SD card has a little switch on the bottom or on the side of the card. It should look like a small sliding bar, normally white or black.
If set to one side, it has the write protection enabled, if it is to the other, you can write on it.

mine had a round piece of chrome foil over a part of it just remove that
