I'd check with a career coach or your college's career center to get some guidance on careers that would be a good fit.
You can also check out some criminal justice type employers to see which of the jobs appeal to you. And, look for criminal justice-related professional or industry association for information on careers, too.
Find those employers through these links:
* Job-Hunt.org - http://www.job-hunt.org/
Job-Hunt is a large directory of career resources. It links to over 8,300 career-related organized by location (over 6,300 by state) or by specialty. No jobs or resumes posted, just articles and links to resources or information, including:
- - Law & Law Enforcement - http://www.job-hunt.org/law.shtm
Includes links to over 30 national and international law enforcement related organizations which might have good career information on their Websites
- - US Federal Government - http://www.job-hunt.org/jobs-in-government/government-jobs.shtml
Includes employers like the Homeland Security, Secret Service, FBI, etc.
- - Jobs by State - http://www.job-hunt.org/states/states.shtml
Includes hundreds of links to state and local governments with their court systems, etc.
* Indeed.com - http://www.indeed.com
This site is a central source for finding job opportunities listed. Indeed is a "job aggregator" which collects jobs from job sites (like Monster, HotJobs, and CareerBuilder, but NOT Craigslist) as well as from employers, newspapers, etc., so you go to one central place to search for the jobs and cover more sites than you even know about.
Good luck!

What a need you could fulfill in a prison environment. It is so hard to find someone that has the psychological &sociology background backed up with criminal understanding and the law. Where ever you live go to DOC for your area and look for jobs.

Look no further than Quantico, as a forensic profiler for the FBI. Very competive, but very interesting. Read some of John Douglas' books (the guy who basically established the department) and I think they will tell you a lot about if it is the career for you.
