Yes. I was reheating 1/2 of a leftover Eggplant Parmigiana grinder in my toaster oven, and it caught on fire. I totally freaked and called the FD. There was all smoke in my apartment. My father had a fire in the room he was staying in once, he went out and his dog died from smoke inhalation. So sad. So now I just go off the wall when I see flames!

Yes when some baby ducks were stuck in the sewer and some neighborhood children were crawling down there to try to get them. The fire dept. got the children AND ducks out safely and then stopped traffic so the ducks could follow their mother across the blvd. to the lake.

To answer your question, yes. When I was 17 I witnessed someone set off a molotov cocktail in a carport. I pulled the alarm and got everyone out of the complex.

No...my ex burned off the yard behind his house and they had to be called for that once...not the sort of thing you do in the fall in Minnesota, but he did. Glad yours wasn't any worse than it was.

no, i haven't but thankfully everything is ok where you are and no one got hurt. get one of those chimney sweeping logs and brun it every so often to keep that from happening. you should be able to find them at places like home depot and those types of places. good luck.
