President Bush has decided to spent every dime are country has to offer in support of a lost war effort in a country that hates america and all we stand for. This President does not seem to understand that the american people want us out of Iraq and him out of office along with his republican cronies. Is it so much to ask that we as a nation try to help our own people instead of throwing good money after bad money supporting an incompetent war effort that is killing our young men and women? We as a nation will not forget the unwarrantable sacrifice of our men and women in uniform come election day in 2008.

Where do your facts come from? Are you the president? Have you ever had to deal with those kinds of pressures? Do you know everything that the GOVERNMENT mind you, has spent all of our money on and how do you know that all of it was BAD money? And furthermore, if our country is already broke why do you want us to spend more money we obviously don't have and are you positive it's for good reasons?

I also don't think that it was a lost effort! I'm sorry but you bomb my land I'm gonna kick your @$$! War is inevitable and something that you should accept! If we wouldn't have fought back then I'm sure America would be gone because you those bombers weren't the only ones over there! I have pictures of a SB on the top of a building (all spread all over) at Camp Alamo! I can't say I know all the facts because I don't but I do feel that it is unamerican to bash everything that has been going on over there! Besides, I can't really complain when all I'm doing is arguing my point of view to the yahoo "forums" if you will! I'm not getting involved in anyway accept for petitions and such!

But lets take the democratic side to this, the next time someone kills a bunch of our people... lets just sit and accept it! Screw fighting back right!?! Screw showing others what your country means to you right?!? Our people aren't that important to fight over!

He's upset about all the other stuff in the bill, like a bunch of pork. Also, the bill ties the hands of the generals. It's just a bunch of Dems trying to micromanage the war from their limousines, and he's doing the right thing by killing the bill.

BTW: It's not a lost war effort. Just because the libs have raised the white flag, doesn't mean we've lost.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

He is upset that he has some opposition , Bush is a credit card spending president he doesn't care as long as he is happy. He doesn't send his sons & daughters into war then why should we. This just gets worse and worse the next president will have a lot of rebuilding to do. All that money could be used for things here in the united states like the environment and healthcare. This is total non-sense I hate bush with a passion. Lies after Lies, Scandals after Scandals within his own cabinet, this president should of been impeached a while back. I highly support our troops but our mission in Iraq is over we got Saddam and now we should come home. We have plenty of time to deal with terrorists but now is not the time.

HA! Poor old Bushie....he was really, really mad - wasn't he? First time in his life anyone ever said NO to him and he stomped his feet and pouted like the spoiled brat he is.

I watch the hearings this morning and the vote...then hung around to hear what he had to say. I SOOOOO enjoyed seeing him bluster and sputter his way along...he can't stand the idea that he won't get his way anymore.

I love these things. I watched the Nixon thing and the Vietnam mess when Congress tore the administration a new one.....alway good theater.

If you are under 30, pay attention as this thing unfolds.... You will see how our country has survived so long, our democracy survives and why our Constitution is a beautiful and living document.

What? Congress spends $2.6 TRILLION and growing every year. About 3.5% of that is spent on the war efforts.

I think congress is already doing a good enough job spending money IN this country without having to give millions to spinach farmers.

And you selfish one must not have a loved one fighting in the war that will now go without so that the 'money spent on our country' Congress will now be able to line their pockets!! Do you really believe for one minute that money will go out to us? I don't want to hear anyone complaining about the VA hospitals in such poor condition when those complaining just took the food our of our soldiers mouths!!

I read where the Dems just approved a pull out of troops in 08', but this Bush guy is just so out of the loop, he doesn't even know his left from his right, I mean literally, did you see on Jon Stewart, he was talking and he said he can tell the left(as he held up his right hand) from the right(as he held up his left hand), this man is the president of the united states of America, we should all just hope and prey that we make it through the rest of his term in office without major damage to our economy, our country and our integrity, God help us.

Huh, the U. S. funds is around 2.6 trillions money and have been averaging approximately one hundred billion a year on the conflict. How does 3.8% of the cost selection equate to "each dime are (our) usa has to furnish?"

I dont quite understand that myself. I resent the twist he threw on it making Democrats (although they speak for the majority of the country at this point) seem heartless and like we want to completely cut off our brave soldiers who have given more than their fair share. He said in his speech that the Democrats have set aside useless monies simply for the purpose of delaying the troops their resources. He failed to prove that these restrictions were useless.
