Call me old fashioned, and romantic, but i still like to receive love letters they are so much more personal than text, and e-mail i think any way......or do you just throw them away after you have read them?

absolutely, they are part of your history, just like photos, grade reports, year books, etc. When it comes time to tell your story, they are part of that story.

We are JUST alike!!! I thought I was the only one who preferred a hand-written letter over a text or email! Girl, you are not old-fashioned. I love when someone writes me a letter. I read them over and over again. I think when someone manually writes a letter, it's more genuine and personal than just some plain e-mail. They spray their cologne on the letter and I still maintain the scent. I do not throw my letters away--I have over 200 of them, and I still keep them to this day....

I couldn't agree with you any more...

Same here...I used to keep all of them in a shoe box (tee hee hee). they would even still have the scent if they sprayed cologne on it! Then I got married and had to throw them away...(*tear*)...
You know what the bad thing is: 2 wks into the marriage, while the hubby was at work, i was cleaning the room and found old love letters of his ex's under the bed, questioned him about it when he got home and he said he didn't know they were there (yeah right, well maybe), but you would think that if you're gonna get married, say ok! I gotta get rid of all this $hit, right? WRONG! I got so mad, knowing that I had threw all of it away, and his were just laying around...oh well, it seems like nothing to me now, but back then, i was furious.

Yeah I saved all of my love letters from Jr. high all the way up to now. I have them in a book and sometimes I read them to reminisce

i love to receive love letters too...but when I am no longer with the person who sent them, I definitely throw them away. I do not like to be reminded of something in the past..when it's over, it's over.

I have two of the huge size gift bags that I've saved from past gifts, and they are full of my husbands' cards and notes he's sent me, and ribbons off the flowers. That's about 8 years worth; I need a new bag, but my birthday is coming and he can't wrap worth a flip, so I'll probably get one!
