I watched a documentary recently regarding this so I may be able to help.
From what I learned, Satanism is really more of a religion embracing the "opposite" and allowing those that have felt that they are against the "norms" the opportunity to share it. From what I heard, most Satanists don't really "worship" the devil, they really just embrace the other side of the spectrum.
While devil worshiping is the opposite. They embrace Satan and are ready to serve him.

Satan is from the lineage of Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Zoroastrianism.
In Pagan terms he doesn't belong with us! Druids and Wiccans do not worship such a being! But they get labeled with those terms. Very ignorant!
I see the other sides point of view though. Anything outside their religion is demonized. Even things within their religions.
So, in reality, there is no such thing. Satanism is part of as an example, Christianity. It is a Christian concept or teaching..belief.
Not interested in him frankly. Where evil exists is in the darkness of fear and ingnorance, greed and the quest for power over others!
Interesting definitions regarding Satan and devil. Very disrespectful to go around labeling good people who love the Creator as much or maybe more than you do! I refer to the statement.
The Divine Love knows no bounderies.

Satanism is considered anti-Christian religious worship. Devil worshipping is the worship of demons, which comes from a number of various religions, not just Christianity alone.

Satanists don't actually believe in the devil as devil worshipers do. The number one sin in satanism is stupidity.

Satan is the same thing as the Devil, and everybody worships Satan. God doesn't like us to get drunk. Satan does. God doesn't like us to use drugs. Satan does. God doesn't like us to have sex outside of marriage. Satan loves that one. Just imagine what a miserable, boring life we would have if it wasn't for Satan.

They think it's different... there is only one satan.....and many demons...... ONE chance in life. Heaven or hell.
I would say....stay away from all that appear evil.
