BEFORE YOU ASK:
-IMPOUNDED FOR DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED.
-i WAS NOT SUSPENDED, THE LOCAL COURT SYSTEM HAD MADE AN ERROR WHICH CLEARED UP ON THE FOLLOWING BUSINESS DAY.
-THEY REFUSED TO RELEASE THE VEHICLE TO ME WITHOUT BRINGING A SECOND LICENSED DRIVER AND WOULD NOT RELEASE THE VEHICLE TO ME AND A CAB DRIVER.
-YES, I HAVE EXPLAINED THIS TO THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND THE IMPOUND OWNER TELLS THEM HE WILL COOPERATE WITH ME BUT REFUSES WHEN I SPEAK TO HIM DIRECTLY.

Bring a cop with you and all the papers from the court. Be prepared to pay for the tow and impound then get reimbursement from the court. The impound lot is just doing what they do and following the rules. I hope you don't yell at them.

The whole more bees with honey than vinegar theory applies here.

Something fishy here....If the court "made a mistake" and your license was not suspended, why did "they" refuse to release your car?

Why did they want a second licensed driver?

Why didn't you get something from the court confirming that, indeed, your license was fine.

I somehow feel you have not come clean on all this.

how much money were you out ? did you have to rent a car? or do you just want some money . This sounds like the local courts fault , not the impound lots
