My beliefs in reincarnation are that your spirit will continue to come back until it has learned everything it is out to learn. One life you will go through with very little human contact, withdrawing into yourself to seek answers you wouldn't be able to find with a lot of friends and family keeping you busy, while another, you may be surrounded by people. One life you are a man, another you are a woman. On that note, though, if you look at the souls of the world as constantly learning new things each time they come back, they will probably have VERY different interactions each life. One soul might have been your true love, you and them lived out the rest of your lives happily together, while another life you might not want to have anything to do with one another, even if there is "nothing wrong with them, just not my type" (your soul learned everything it could from that soul). Or, a soul that was a hated opponent in one life will become a best friend. Because of these constant changes, it is nearly impossible to know exactly what a new soul's purpose is in your life. Follow your instincts, and trust that the soul knows best.
