It is time to get out of that country. Ever since Sadam was executed the situation has gotten worse. Even with the new Democratic government in place, there will be attempts to overthrow it when the coalition forces leave. A lot of the fierce fighting is probably a vendetta from Sadam's supporters.

it's 4 years and nearly 4000 deaths too late! we should have finished job 1 in Afghanistan and come home.... funny how the private contractors are doing jobs previously performed by military personnel...by the way for MUCH more money yet their deaths aren't included in the official toll...there have been over 800 private contractor deaths....don't they count too?

It sounds like an idiotic compromise to me. They're not letting the soldiers come home for about 1 1/2 more years! Can you imagine how many more dead there will be? I can't say anymore, people get offended. I just think they should all come home NOW.

HECK YES! Bush promised a year and half ago that he would start pulling out soon...Yep, I really see that happening...
I'd just like to see our boys home alive instead of in body bags...
We should have never started a war in Iraq, he's just finishing what his daddy failed to finish!
And why haven't we found Osama Bin Laden, he's the one that we should have gone after!

Joe Biden(D) said last night on Leno we should do what Clinton did in Bosnia and keep Iraq as one country with 3 separate territories and try DIPLOMACY to help stabilize that area....not one more american should die in a country's civil war even tho' we started it. BTW, not one american soldier died in Bosnia.

What a horrible idea! To leave those people open to the whims of terrorists would be a terrible betrayal. I think it would similar to the fall of Saigon when we left at the end of Viet Nam War. I'm definitely against it.
