I am taking it now, and after four days, I feel a significant improvement. I have 400mg tablets, and the recommended dosage is 2 tablets per day. I have been taking one pill every four hours. I feel much more relaxed, my joints feel better, they don't crack all the time, my muscles are relaxed as well, and SAM-e helps improve liver functions, so my tummy feels better. It is safe and effective and can be used with other vitamin supplements. I have been taking the high dose because I have had a lot of anxiety lately, but, I feel much better now, and will follow the 2 pill per day recommendation. It is a wise choice for your health.

Yes, i have taken Same in the past. I was mainly using for joint relief. I was taken 1600 mg per day and I was taken on an empty stomach. I found that after a few weeks it helped a great deal. However, i had to discontinue due to the high cost.

I've not taken it, but wanted to answer, sorry! I can't take any antidepressants or herbal remedies unless I'm closely supervised as I'm one of those people who tends to be made worse by them.

If you are taking antidepressants, do not take SAMe. Also, it can trigger mania is people who are bipolar.

I personally think these things are best supervised by a doctor, please consider discussing this with him - he can advise on over the counter medicines aswell as prescription medicines.

Yes--i took it for about a year for depression after a death in my family. I found that it did not necessarily lift my spirits, but it did level things off and eliminated those horrible afternoon troughs. As I recall, it took about a week to kick in.
