There is a gargling sound which comes from my bath in the bathroom when I pull the toilet or when the person in the flat upstairs pulls their toilet. What could be the problem?

Thank you to everyone who have tried to help with my question.

The problem seems to get worse, there is currently some water splashing up out of the bath. Think it's time to panic.
We just had the whole bathroom refitted due to flooding from a broken pipe under the bath and had to move out for a month and this disruptions are awful, that is why I'm hestitant to get a plumber in case it's something I can just fix on my own.

Poor venting. As the large volume of water flows in the pipes it will cause suction in the drain lines and the water in the traps on your tubs will gurgle as air is drawn in. Check the roof vent and make sure it is clear of obstructions.

YOU HAVE A RESTRICTION IN THE SEWER LINE AND WHEN FLUSHED THE WATER RISES INTO THE TUB SINCE IT IS THE LOWEST SPOT. YOU NEED TO GET THAT RESTRICTION OPENED UP. IT WILL PROBABLY REQUIRE RUNNING A TAPE DOWN A VENT PIPE ON THE ROOF OR PULLING YOUR TOILET AND RUNNING A TAPE DOWN THERE. IT IS NOT TOO BIG A DEAL BUT SOMEWHAT EXPENSIVE. IF YOU ARE HANDY AND HAVE THE TOOLS YOU CAN PULL THE TOILET AND DO IT YOURSELF.

I had that with my home. I had clogged drainage.
Have a plummer run a "snake" and clear the drain. Make sure it's a professional, running snake can damage old pipes if not done correctly.

No problem the lines are connected at the base. If it starts to back up into the bath then worry

I agree with Range dog. You either have a venting problem, or a partial blockage that is getting worse.

in case you in simple terms in simple terms went upstairs and advised them that they are being too loud, that should kill the temper immediately. that definitely got here approximately to me as quickly as and enable me enable you comprehend....it took some few weeks to experience a million/2 way comfortable to "do it" returned. Even after that factor exceeded, i substitute right into slightly greater quiet.

Gurgling can mean two things.

Your tub is not properly vented, or you have a partial stoppage that soon is going to completely plug up.
