I think it is ok to have a flower garden with a playground. Make sure you choose hardy plants that are not poisonous. I think some kids enjoy taking care of things and this is a great project for them. Also it make things look nice!

Middle school students have playgrounds? Well, they are old enough to know not to eat the plants, and probably to preoccupied to pick all the flowers, so why not???

NO WAY !!!!! Planting flowers around a playground area is dangerous as it will attract bees to the area. Even if children are not allergic to stings, they should not be exposed to the threat of bee stings. Keep flowers away from this area.

yes, it would cheer up the surrounding area, and besides you just might inspire someone to plant and grow as they themselves grow. try marigolds, they produce seeds also in which could become a learning experience. just leave a few of the flowers on and let them go to seed. pick off the rest to encourage more flowers.

If the flowers are rasied or enclosed,
other wise they will be toast.
