I honestly have no idea. I agree w/you. the only thing hes good for is his running game. Other than that hes a total flop. And yes he does suck.

After getting past the bad spelling and macho BS from other posters skirting around the issue....CAN MIKE VICK PLAY QB IN THE NFL? Or is he just a great athlete who can't do it as a leader or passer?

I have him as the biggest bust this year. Not because I hate the Falcons, not because I am a member of Jerry Falwell's clan, but because he does three things setting himself up for disaster:

1. He hasn't proven himself as a passer. He's inaccurate in any system. More downfield shots means he needs only TO and Randy Moss to throw to. With all the money tied into this superstar, you're simply not going to be able to field a team. Which brings us to....

2. He's the running back too. As long as he's getting hit like an RB without the protection of an RB, he's gonna get downtime like an oft-injured RB. His new coach says they're going to build the playbook around him. That doesn't mean he's going to be healthy all year. What's the backup plan, boss?

3. The "Ron Mexico" mystique. Don't you people see a suspension-behavior player before he gets it (except Albert Haynesworth)? I do. This guy is definitely clubhouse risk with those off-field exploits. Stop calling him the best so his ego can deflate long enough to show more QB skills. Does picking up hookers bring down your passing rating?

I'm off the podium. Bashers line up over here. Friends, over here. Beer call!

People still love him because he is basically the symbol of the succession of the black quarterback over the white one. No white qb can run as fast him, Steve Young wouldn't even be close.

The reality, defenses evolved to punish him when he runs. Which forced him to rely on his arm for the past two years, look at his performance, he is not a good qb, he is not a good passer, and now teams are taking away his run threat.

Hands down he is the fastest Joey Harrington I ever saw. Even though this sounds racist, it is the truth. Black fans of Vick will never admit that it is his fault that Atlanta will suck the next 10 years. They would then have to give up their symbol of black superiority at the qb position.

Mike Vick is a really good QB and he does not suck. I am not a Vick fan or a Falcon fan but he is really good. If he had better receivers that catch the ball rather than drop it then he would be a better throwing QB. Plus if you think he is gonna get hurt if he keeps running the ball then why would yall say he should be a running back.duh!!! He can get hurt at that position too. He does need to understand that running QB's dont win superbowls passing QB's do. Last thing I wanna say is to daniel d. Why are you blaming him for what his brother did. He cant control his brother. His brother is his own person.

Nobody outside of Atlanta really respects the guy's ability at QB, but he's fun to watch run away from the more talented players on defense (Like Carolina's own Julius Peppers!!) Yeah, fans of the Falcons liking him though, that I can't understand. He has yet to post a 3,000yard 20TD season, numbers that would make him a valid QB threat in the NFL instead of just a hybrid running back.

Don't be stupid

face facts
Mike Vick is one of the most Talented QBs to ever play in the NFL, like him or not, that is a fact, and everyone knows that. No QB has ever Scrambled like he can, he isn't the best passer but trust me there have been plenty of passers worse then him.

think about it. if a coach would be able to successfully teach him how to be a drop back passer. (and he makes a transition like McNabb has) he will no doubt be they most dangerous threat in the game. Period

Stop blaming every thing on vick, its not like he is on the perfect team but is ruining everything.

Let me remind your the last time ATL had a Solid Defense. they went too the NFC Championship game WITH VICK!!!
explain that

well its kinda like the browns, he has no line the running game sucks around him, and yes he's not the most accurate thrower, but he has an arm and if he was accurate he would be amazing. set aside his "issues" he's not that bad. the browns have learned this the hard way same as the raiders, it doesn't matter who you have behind the center if you can't stop the rush and open some running lanes. people love him because having a qb with mobility can be a deadly weapon if used right, and he was one of the first good scramblers and had tons of td's in college. its like pitt and stewart, fans loved him because he was exciting but he couldn't throw worth a **** when he had the time. mike vick is an above average qb and that's about it.

I don't like him but he does put a good show on with his athletic ability. He can't read defenses, throw accurate consistantly, or anything else a good QB has to do but he is a highlight reel and for people who watch ESPN, TSN sport center and not the whole football game. He's also the great black hope for the QB position. Face facts, if he was white he'd be pumping gas with Ryan Leaf.

First of all, I don't think EVERYONE loves Mike Vick. I think he has great physical ability, but he is overrated as an NFL QB. His desicion making is also questionable, on and off the field.

Not everyone loves him, especially if he doesn't play for your team, he may get better with time or he may not, and he will never be as good as Steve McNair, but I think Charlie Batch is going to be seen a lot more in next season and he is way better than either one of these guys.
