I work on my feet for 8-10 hours a day. My calves and feet hurt by the end of the day. I was told to buy a set of compression stockings as they are suppossed to help with the circulation. Any thoughts?? And where can I find them at a decent price?

I know what they are used for. Generally compression stockings are worn by people with diabetes and vericos veins to promote circulation. I am asking if they will help with my aching legs.

You might want to try some really good support hose (ex.Leggs Pantyhose). I am a nurse and am on my feet quite a bit and they really seem to help. The compression stockings or TED hose may be a little too much "compression" on your legs.

The stockings you speak of are called TED hose. They are good for preventing blood clots in the legs due to inactivity. They keep the blood in the legs circulating when they aren't working enough. I have never known of them being worn to stop pain or anything of that nature. Only in bed-ridden people who can't walk for use in the prevention of DVT. They can be found where you would find ACE bandages and such. Just to let you know.

Diabetes is usually treated through a combination of diet (low sugar), exercise and medications/insulin. Read here https://tr.im/rBUTf
Milder cases can be controlled with just diet an/or exercise while more severe cases require meds or insulin as well.
