I have been on birth control for about a year and have accidently missed pills before but always made them up the next morning and it hasn't disrupted my cycle before. I missed one pill this month, but made it up the next morning. I am now 2 weeks late. I stopped taking my pills just in case, and to wait for my cycle to start again. I took 3 at home pregnancy tests, all negative. I have felt somewhat crampy for the last 2 weeks, but no sign at all of my period coming! What should I do? Any advice!?

You have probably convinced youself that you are pregnant and that stress has caused you to miss. Wait till your next period and if doesn't appear, go to the doctor. If it does, then you have nothing to worry about.

RELAX!!!! Stress, excess caffiene, change of diet can all have an effect on your cycle.

Good Luck!

Missing a pill by one day should not have made you significanty more susceptable to pregnancy. Two weeks may not be enough time for a pregnancy test to be viable. If you have stopped taking the pill you are definately at risk of getting pregnant and need to abstain from sex or use some other dependable form of birth control. If you don't start your period within two more weeks I reccomend taking another pregnancy test at that time. Otherwise, consult the doctor who prescribed the pills.

You are playing with fire. You can't keep missing and taking the next day. You really have to take it at the same time. Make sure you use another form of birth control until you have completed another full month of your pills. Going off the pill is going to throw your cycle off. Wait for your period then start your pills as directed.

Stopping the pills altogther could be the reason. A lot of women's cycles get screwy for a while after going off the pill.

Go to the doctor for a blood pregnancy test, and abstain from sex to be safe. If the blood test says no, then go back on the pills as your doctor advises.

Missing "one" pill is no cause for alarm. The medication is still in your system. I seriously doubt if your pregnant. The test are very accurate. You should go ahead and contact your doctor just to make sure there is nothing else going on with your health. Good luck!

well i doubt missing one pill will cause you to become pregnant. you are prob just worring about it to much and that can cause the period to be later. on the other hand, birthcontrol isn't always 100% safe... there is a possablilty that you are pregnant. . . I'd wait a little longer and try another test... other wise enjoy not haveing a period. I do...

You shouldn't have gone off your pills! I would get back on them, and wait a month and see if you have your period. If you don't then get to the Dr. It could be lots of things causing this, but you are most probably NOT pregnant.

i think you should wait another week or two. Then take another test. Sometimes it takes a while for the test to detect the hormone that shows your pregnant. it happened to me with my first child i took a test after being two weeks late and it was negitive. then decided to see my doctor and i was pregnant and i ask her why the home test was negitive and that what she told me. if you don't want to wait then go see your doctor good luck :)

you are fine, I stick by pregnancy tests.... Your body is adjusting to missing that one pill. If you dont believe 3 pregnancy tests go to a doctor.
