I don't see anything wrong with being high maintenance except in the case when a woman doesn't have the income to support her lifestyle. Gucci, Prada & Dior can be quite expensive and it's sad to see someone spending even 25% of their income on name brand clothing. I believe that their are balanced women out their, but you have to be willing to commit yourself to finding one. Maybe you should try one of these dating websites Match.com or E-Harmony. I heard they're pretty good.

There are. I'm nice and LOW-maintenance. I'd rather look cute and sexy and not appear to have tried way too hard, you know??? I have natural hair, natural fingernails, a natural tan, etc... and you can obviously tell that I didn't spend 3 hours getting ready this morning, however, I still look good. (I've even done some modeling in the past.)
What I think is up with these high-maintenance chicks is that they feel that their physical looks are their only asset, if you know what I mean. So, they have to spend hours trying to make themselves look good. And the reason they look down on others is because they are just trying to compensate for the areas that they feel they are lacking. Also, a lot of these same people are sometimes the ones with the LEAST confidence.

Hmm. I'm openly high maintenance but think I'm worth it. I usually require lots of time and attention but I'm a great wife and spend as equaly amounts of time/attention on him as I do myself. (He's not high-maintenance, but I choose to spoil him) I try to never act better than anyone, and try to talk to as many people as possible (I'm a chatterbox). I think a lot of high maintenance girls (with the expensive taste) think that the deserve the best in everything, including men. If they don't feel like you have the education, the right background, looks or right income or family name then they want nothing to do with you. I have a good friend that is looking only for a guy with money and it's ridiculous b/c she turns down really great guys with a more humble background. My view, their loss! Don't waste time at the snooty bars, clubs & "hotspots." Go to a coffee shop, go listen to live music somewhere or get involved in a church, you're bound to find some more down to earth girls.

Whats up is that they have low self-esteem. And I'm pretty sure that the popular media is helping to contribute to the popluarity of stuck up, materialistic, over tanned, under fed, silicone women as role modles. But what the hell can you do about it?
