I think that if someone can be doing nothing but staying still and observing the area around them, and they are not bored, but at peace, they are happy.
Honest laughter is happiness.
Being with people you care about makes you happy.
I would have to be a peace with my family to be happy, but that's just me.

Before you can be happy you have to realize that YOU have to look out for YOURSELF. I was the same way. I didn't talk to my parents and I only had one friend who remains my one true friend to this day. We have a mantra for life that goes like this: Girls like us don't come around too often
Hate us and your just wasting your time because
You can't beat us, and you sure as hell can't join us.

Be happy with what you have--not what you do not have. Life is short so enjoy it for yourself. Love those who love you and forget those who don't.! Good Luck and stay strong.

Simple recipe: do what makes you feel connected to people you care about, autonomous in your choices, and competent in your performances. Then be mindful: pay attention to what's going on in the moment.
