definately not Quinn or Russell, way to much hype, way too much pressure, I mean they may be good, but there is a chance that they can be busts, that always comes with the QB position
I'd agree with Calvin Johnson, even if he is not great he will be good at least. I don't see how he can be a bust.
I'd say Adrian Peterson but I think he is too injury prone

I don't know why everbody thinks that JaMarcus Russell is some big time QB. Sure he's got a cannon for an arm, but I've seen tapes where he can't even complete a 15 yard out pattern. His accuracy is questionable. I think the only sure thing would be Calvin Johnson. At 6'5", 230 lbs. and runs a 4.35 40, he's already better than most receivers in the league. And with his height, he'll have mismatches with shorter CB's every game. The one underdog in the draft will be Brady Quinn. Playing in Charlie Weis' offense already has him prepared for the NFL and he's a hell of alot more accurate than Russell. He was probably the most prolific and efficient passer in college.

My team is Cleveland, yet seeing as though we've not got any selections until eventually the 4th around (it incredibly is wonderful with me) i visit debate the Raiders p.c... i think of a fantasy may be for them to draft McFadden and actually have a super backfield instead of a buncha has beens, yet finding at their subject they certainly desire a line. they'd desire to Draft long of Michigan in the event that they get the prospect and pickup Gallery and the different ought to of's and tutor them what a realy youthful skills can do. they have a QB (Russell) if he isnt the dimensions of Jabba the Hutt, by ability of the time the season starts off. And a marvelous TE/Receiver mixture. Their protection is phenominal (no longer the D Line, the secondary). specific communities, even devoid of Chris Carr, would be wonderful. Like I pronounced, build a line, however the flashy p.c.. may be McFadden.

I agree with your assessment of AJ Hawk and this year, I think the sure thing will be Calvin Johnson.
Forbidding some God-awful injury, he has all the tools and the intangibles (size, attitude and determination) to be an immediate impact player in the NFL. He's tall, strong and athletic (freakishly) and is a cross between Randy Moss and Marvin Harrison.
He has Moss's unnatural skill and Harrison's calm demeanor and positive attitude.

The sure thing has to be WR Calvin Johnson. At 6'4" 230lbs they guy runs a 4.3 fourty which is rediculous. Throw in the fact that he is a man of faith and compares his attitude to Marvin Harrison, one of the most unselfish players in the NFL which is uncommon for his position, and you have a bonafide stud that's in it to win it.
Although Adrian Peterson is freakishly talented as well he is a little prone to injury.
Jamarcus Russell has raw talent but where was he all season? He started getting all this hype after blowing out a highly overrated Notre Dame team.
Brady Quinn is good but couldn't win the big games ala Chris Simms.

Yes, A.J. Hawk had a good year, but I think V.Young had a better one. As for this year draft Calvin Johnson,Adria Peterson. I would say JaMarcus Russell but if he goes to the Raiders he is going to take a beating.

I'd say the biggest "sure thing" isn't anyone who will be drafted early in the 1st round. The biggest sure thing seems to be Greg Olsen, the tight end from the University of Miami. I saw his workout and I was impressed. Hes got nice hands, good size, good speed and will, I almost guarantee, be a pro-bowler within his first four or five seasons.

No real good answer here. A player is always at his best when he is on a team that style fits the best. A speed WR wont be much if he has a weak armed QB throwing the ball, a great RB wont be much without a good Oline.

Last year there were three impact players: Vince Young, Marques Colston and Maurice Jones-Drew and all will continue to be impact players. This year it will be Dwayne Bowe. This kid is ready for the NFL and will contribute immediately.
