I work 40+ hours a week and make a comfortable living. I am trying to get health insurance from my job but there is an open enrollment time. Why is it that single mothers on welfare who work less than me, pay less taxes than me, and contribute less to society than me get free or extremely low cost medical care while I have to have my paycheck robbed to pay for their laziness and unwillingness to live independently? It's just not fair. Why is it so hard for the working American?

Government can't take from someone who doesn't have...So, as a working person, the gov't takes from you.

Are you blaming the underpriviliged for all of this? George Bush spent how many billions of dollars on a war that was fought because he decieved the american people. If he didnt steal the presidency from Gore ,than maybe they could have put that money to use on important things, like healthcare. Try not having ANY healthcare and see how it feels. Healthcare costs are affected by the people not being able to pay when they get hurt and have no health insurance. If they made the visit more affordable and the price of insurance more affordable, than maybe the problem could get solved. Blame the people that decieved you and not the people that have no control over the situation. My old boss had to pay 700 dollars a month just for him and his family to get healthcare. That is nearly a descent house payment. I suggest you know the truth and see through the deception, because it isnt because the gov provides healthcare to the poorest people in the country. It is the cheapest insurance possible. And alot of doctors are crooked and will overcharge the insurance companies anyways. I suggest you ask the personthat spent billions of dollars of tax money to cause suffering, when they could have given everyone healthcare,or at least make it more affordable for everyone.

You fall in the no-mans land where you make too much to qualify for government aid but too little to buy the stuff you need on your own. See if there are any free or low-cost clinics in your area, or doctors that are kind enough to offer sliding scale fees based on income. Other than that all I can say is get a better job.

The government isn't unfair about medical insurance, your employer is.
