Okay, I need a little fashion advice about footwear...?

First of all, thank you for reading my question. Here it is:

I bought a black dress yesterday. It's v-neck, short sleeved, has a few buttons going down one side of the colar, a belt that ties into a bow. It goes to my knees. I was wondering if it would be fashionable to wear black heeled boots that go up the calf with this to a bar/club/pub? I think it looks cute together, but I don't want to look out of style... also, if boots aren't the answer, what type of shoes are? flats, heels?

Also, I am 5'7" so these boots add 3 inches to my height...

If you think it looks cute, then that is all that really matters!
Especially if you are going to a popular club.

I'm alsmost as tall as you, so dont worry about the height. I love wearing heels. People who are short wear heels for height, but if youre tall wear em just cuz its sexy!!! anyway, that sounds really cute, the dress with the boots. But since its all black, i would add a flash of color somewhere, maybe a bright headband or some colorful jewelry-earrings, necklaces, bracelets

I think the boots will look cute-or you could just go with some heels-maybe red heels. As far as height goes-you like to wear heels-so don't worry about how tall you are with heels on. If you are looking to meet a guy and don't want him to be shorter than you-you need to wear your heels-so you can find one who is taller than you with heels-that way you don't have to sacrifice your heels-so that he feels better(not being so much shorter). Kinda Silly-I don't know what else to say!
