Perhaps it is not a physical 'difference'
Maybe Jesus was being rhetorical?
In any event you are meant to give it a lot of thought, not sure you'll get much help here.
One other thing to consider might be the slave trade, perhaps one state fought against it while the other fought to keep it?

lol. That's like asking "What's the difference between London and Shropshire?" Quite a lot really!
I happen to have gone on holiday to America a few years ago, and stayed 2 weeks in Brooklyn New York and 2 weeks in Miami, Florida.
I found that in New York, people always seemed to be in a hurry to get somewhere and everything was lived at a REALLY fast pace. Whereas Florida was far more ralaxed. People didn't seem as stressed and were much friendlier and willing to give you the time of day.
new York was actually HOTTER than Florida! This came as a shock to me, as i'd always thought it'd be the other way round. It was during a heat wave that I went, and New York was about 105f!
New York is kinda dirty looking, and really built-up. Apart from Central park, there was hardly any greenery. Florida was spacey and had loads of palm tree and beautiful beaches, also seemed much cleaner.
A lot of people in NY were really rude, in Florida they were much nicer (In general).
When I looked out the plane window, it seemed like 80% of people in Florida owned swimming pools. In New York, no-one seemed to have a swimming pool. (Not enough space!)
New York seemed to be much more culturally diverse. Florida was diverse, but just not on the same scale as New York.
I can think of zillions of other differences, but don't have the time or space 2 list them here!
Strange dream though! You'd think that being the creator of our world, God would know that answer himself! lol.

About 1000 miles . N.Y. has more skyscrapers ; traffic and people . Florida has more beaches . The people are friendlier in Florida ; and it's easier to get a hotel . Florida isn't near as expensive as N.Y. - but you'll find more sharks in FL . Better shopping in N.Y. as well as public transportation .There is a lot to see and do in both states - both worthwhile and memorable . Of course winters are more brutal in N.Y. ; but FL . too has their share of extremes .

i live in florida now n i used to like in NJ but visited NY a lot. the thing about NY is that its really a lot faster paced then FL. depending upon the part of FL/NY that ur talking about. Theres obvious weather differences. the people are different too. like i said tho it really depends on what part youre talking about. so hit me up if u wanna b more specific.

NY is 1000 miles north of Florida, and is colder and bigger and has more people. NY is a blue state and Florida is a red state. Many more differences , I can't list them all.
