Hamsters are nocturnal. Nothing can be done about that. Tiy to get him a wheel that is not so noisy like plastic. I used to put my hamsters cage in the bathtub at night and put him back in the morning.

I borowed my friends hamster and even do it did make noises at night i couldnt sleep
I took a few of hes toys out for the few days but you cant do that all the time otherwise he'll get all bored so that wasnt the right thing that i done either Why dont you put him somewhere further from your bed
Or you could try in the day time when you come home put him in a whell and let him run for as long as you possible can to burn hes energy as some one said just try to make him play and keep him happy he might calm down

When I got my hamster he also did that. I just got used to it. Hamsters, like any rodent, are nocturnal (They sleep in the day) so if you can't get used to it try covering him up in the day so that he thinks its night time and stay awake and keep a light on him during the night so that he will sleep. Also let the hamster out allot. He must do lots of exercise so that he can burn his energy.

They make "silent" wheels. I recommend getting one, cuz, well, he's going to sleep during the day and be up at night!

I suppose you could put a lamp over him during the night, and then cover him at night. You may be able to convince him that his days and nights are mixed up. Just a thought.

hamsters are nocturnal, try tricking him shin a dim light on the cage during the night and keeping your room as dark as you can get it during the day

This is going to sound funny, but I put olive oil on the places of my hamster's wheel where it squeaks. (Where the wheel and the stand connect) I'm not sure what kind of wheel you have, but maybe you could try this? (Just use a litle, though!)
