There's only one thing you'll actually be able to do. It's Queens-day, 30 of April. The entire city will be one party. Everyone is allowed to sell their used stuff in a market all through the city. It will be very busy, some places will be even hard to walk through. Stores are closed and so are almost all the museums. A lot of tourist come to Amsterdam just for this day, hotel prices are up and everyone is drunk from the night of the 29th till the next night. I hope you know what you're getting yourself into ;)

I hope you realize that 30th of April is the queen's birthday. In AMS it is traditional free-market. Everyone can - and will - by all kinds of 2nd hand stuff everywhere and anywhere. The city will be packed. REAL FUN, you won't see this easily somewhere else in Europe. But don't think you'll be able to travel around (center) town otherwise then by foot, and than again: real slow. Don't think you'll be able to visit museums etc. I think they're open, but it will be slow to go from A to B.
But again: don't miss the free-market, it is really fun if the wheather is good. Everyone is in a good mood (otherwise, why go out on the street), really friendly, willing to make talk, music, drinks, everywhere. About a million people. And who knows: maybe you'll find some cheap thing you always wanted and only pay one euro

you are lucky, queens day will be here and that is the best day out if the weather is nice you will have a ball, the whole country is turned into a big fleamarket, you will have the night before when they start already, everybody is outside on the streets either celling stuff, buying or drinking and having fun, you will love it.
all you need is some good walking shoes and a nice warm sweater or jacket, some good money to buy beer with that's it.
enjoy

I recommend going to the Heineken Experience....it is really fun, plus you get like 2-3 beers and a gift at the end. Well worth the 10 euros.

If you dont have a hotel yet there is no point thinking about it anymore. Hotels will have been gone. Otherwise I recommend to do a pole dancing workshop or something, They are usually enjoyable to a group of hens...

Don't go, I think the people of the Netherlands and Eastern Europe have had enough of Brits on a night out. If you want to be nice stay in the UK.
