Yes..you will eventually (although it seems to be already starting) to resent the place. I do think though having been involved in retail myself that no matter where you go, if you are the newest, you get crapped on. Of course, until the next hire cycle is done. Wal-mart does seem to have more perks though, but unless you work full time, no insurance either. I would start at the grocery side, they seem to start higher in pay. Thnakfully, I don't have work retail again, now that I own an online marketing business. Good luck!

If you are un happy get another job and you most likely even find one that pays more .
Even if you made 10.00 an hour at K-mart would you still be happy?

Being happy is very important you will spend a lot of time on that job so choose a job you want to do per-sue the job then put in a two week notice at the mart .

Good luck,
from a Former retail manager

Well if you are Christian you would have avoided a 6.66 pay =P. On topic though, if you are over 18 you should not be working at a place paying so low and stressing you out less than 6months, I would recommend looking into a temp agency because that way you get a better feel for whats out there and you can understand why they treat you the way they do.

Deep breath.

1. Is Walmart hiring?
2. How do you know you'll be treated better?
3. How many years experience does your mom have than you?
4. With 4 other days are you working another job?

You're learning valuable experience. Sure won't look good on your resume that you stayed at one job for 2 months and earned $6.66 per hour.

Why not make up in your mind that this is a trial period and that you're working towards management?

I think you answered your own question. Sounds like Walmart would be a better place to work. I have found that working in a stressful environment will make you sick. Do what is best for you. But, when you get hired at Walmart make sure you get some of their stock. I am thinking of working there part-time just to get it. ;-)

Yes, quit simply because its Kmart! May I ask how old you are? Shoot higher than Walmart and $9.05 though. Good luck!
