I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on some topics in regards to biology. I would like to do some extra credit essays for my biology class. Also I need to have credible websites, such as from the government, scientific american, discovery channel... Thanks.

u can always do a paper on cloning. it's a controversial topic and u can find sources that tells u the pros and cons of it.

I have always thought that cloning is an interesting biology topic. There are tons of materials out there on cloning so you would have no trouble finding the info. You should probably take a purely fact based approach instead of arguing for or against cloning. I'm not sure how long the essay has to be, but if you're looking for a simple 5 paragraph essay you could easily discuss the three different types of cloning, as explained in the website listed. (sorry, someone had the same idea as me before I got this posted! I guess that means it's a good idea.)

It is fairly easy to find sources for a paper on invasive species in the USA.. I did one on the Zebra Mussel and how it is infiltrating the waterways in the country slowly but surely. Anything you need plus refrences to other sites can be found on the EPA website (environmental protection agency). Good luck.

i think that you should do a report on some endangered animal, maybe tigers, leopards, or giant pandas. it will inform people about them and maybe they will help. www.nationalgeographic.org (or is it .com?) must have an article or two on one of them.
