if it were an adorability contest he could be a finalist. however, it is a singing contest, and at that, he stinks.

i dont hate sanjaya as a person. i hate that he is not a good enough singer for the competition. i hate that he keeps staying on american idol and people that deserve to stay are getting voted off.

That is completely besides the point. He has had such terrible performances and survived while better singers have been voted off because they are not "as attractive".
You know that show is going down-hill when the worst singer keeps surviving because he is "cute".

I don't hate Sanjaya, but he is clearly a medicore talent, has no stage presence, or any charisma whatsoever. I will grant you the fact that he is, by far, the best looking contestant(both boys and girls). However, his is, unfortunately a singing contest and not a beauty pageant. And he might be a little on the gay side

i think people hate him so much because his voice is not the strongest...he is personally not my favorite in the competition this year....but i don't hate him like other people do! i believe that the reason he is still in the competition becasue of that bad singers website "vote for the worst singer instead of the best" and that he has more of a following becuase he is the youngest!

Yes, he's adorable and he has really good hairstyles, but he is in a spot where I think a better singer should be given more of an opportunity.
