i want to try xbox live cause it looks cool

depending on how far away it is you can do it onee of two ways
wireless- buy the adapter for the wireless on xbox set up on system and your done
Wired - depending on how far away you need a lon cord no matter what but there are different sizes and you will need to run it to your router and set up internet connection

to be on the internet with xbox and play games on xbox live, you have to go out and buy the xbox live package kit. I think its quite expensive but at least you get to play against people from other countries

I think there is a cord you need to purchase (it might have been included with your xbox).
